Chiropractic care can be compared to the building of houses. There are some events that have to occur in a specific sequence to ensure everything will stand still and work efficiently. If you were to build the walls before a solid foundation your wall would eventually collapse because they are weak. It you were to build the roof then the walls, you would encounter the same problem. This is the same with your body. It is necessary that your body pass through a specific plan of care to repair itself and correct fully. In chiropractic care there are three general phases;
Phase 1: Relief Care
If you are experiencing pain upon your arrival at our office then the first aim we have to assist you to feel better. Based upon how severe your pain is, it is normal for care to be given 1-3 times per week for 4-12 weeks.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
In this phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, to help prevent injury. Normal corrective times can range from 3-24 months, based on your overall health and how bad your problem is.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
It is important to get adjustments regulally to prevent future problems once your body has fully healed. Normally all it takes is a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month; this depends on your lifestyle and personal health goals.
